Douglas County, Colorado

Douglas County is conveniently located between the 2 largest cities of Colorado - Denver and Colorado Springs. Located strategically in the geographic center of Colorado, Douglas County covers about 844 square miles. The County contains four incorporated municipalities of Castle Rock, Larkspur, Lone Tree, and Parker, with Castle Rock being the county seat. Highlands Ranch is counted for as unincorporated.

Douglas County was the nation's fastest growing county for most of the 1990's. Part of that growth rate can be contributed to by the high number and quality commercial companies that are located here or in neighboring Arapahoe County (Greenwood Village, Cenntenial, Englewood).

Please note that some places refer to "Highlands Ranch" as "Highland Ranch". This can cause confusion. Please be aware that the official name is "Highlands Ranch" and not "Highland Ranch".
